Communication Policy
Communication with patients through electronic methods (such as email or fax) is managed in accordance with privacy laws and confidentiality requirements for health information. Most matters are best discussed directly with your GP. Where possible, your GP will take your call, but if they are attending to other patients, they may need to return your call. Please let our reception staff know if your call is urgent so it can be prioritized appropriately.
Fees
Our practice operates as a mixed billing service, including bulk billing, gap fees, and private consultation fees. For patients without a Medicare card, private fees will be applied. Please contact our reception team for further details or if you have any questions regarding fees.
Appointment Booking
Appointments are always preferred via over the phone or through our HotDoc link; however, walk-ins are accepted if time allows. Existing patients can book online via HotDoc, however, new patients must call our clinic on (07) 4591 8000 to book their first appointment but can complete their registration online.
Non-Attendance Policy
If a patient misses three appointments within a calendar year without providing adequate notice of 24hours prior to their appointment, a non-attendance fee will apply. This fee must be paid prior to booking any further consultations. Please contact our reception team for further details or if you have any questions regarding fees.
Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Patients
While our primary focus is on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, we welcome all patients from all cultural and social backgrounds, no matter the age or background.
After Hours and Home Visits
Non-urgent after-hours medical assistance is available through Hello Home Doctor by calling 134 100. For home visits, please call our practice for more information on (07) 4591 8000.
Transport
We provide transport. All bookings must be made through reception at least 24 hours before the appointment. When booking, clients are required to provide their pick-up location and must be ready and waiting at the agreed time and place. Please note that transport services are not available after 4:30pm and only available within a 10 km radius of the Toowoomba CBD.
Test Results
We will only contact you regarding your test results if there are abnormal results and/or your doctor wishes to discuss this with you.
