Overview

Goolburri SSI provides one-on-one support for clients/elders from a Direct Care Worker either in the home or while accessing community services. This includes meeting the needs for social contact and/or accompaniment in order to participate in community life.

• Friendly visits in the home
• Letter writing for the client
• Assistance with shopping
• Assistance with banking
• Assistance with medication
• Assist in attending appointments

General Information

• SSI to the client /elders does not have to be in your home.
• SSI assistance can take place in a park, shopping mall or other location.
• SSI is also available for clients/elders who are caring for someone (carer) so that they may have some time for themselves.
• A Direct Care Worker will be responsive to the clients/elders needs.

Client Contribution Fee

• From $5/hour
• Payment may be made via cash, card or bank transfer
