Supporting safety, healing and empowerment for families. Our Specialist Domestic and Family Violence (SDFV) service provides culturally safe, confidential, and compassionate support to individuals and families who are experiencing or have experienced domestic and family violence. We work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, children, and communities to strengthen safety, build awareness, and promote healing.

How We Can Help

Our team provides tailored support to help you, and your family feel safe, informed, and supported throughout your journey. We can assist with:

  • Risk assessment and safety planning to protect individuals and children at risk of harm
  • Advocacy and information to help you understand your options and access the right support
  • Warm referrals to trusted service providers for housing, legal, financial, and counselling support
  • Support with court processes, including assistance with Domestic Violence Protection Orders
  • Case management collaboration with our Family Wellbeing Workers where families are affected by domestic and family violence
  • Court support to help you navigate legal processes, understand requirements, and feel supported during hearings

Working Together for Stronger Families

We work closely with key partners including but not limited to Police, Child Protection Services, Centrelink, Health Services, Community Welfare and support agencies. Through these partnerships, we ensure coordinated, respectful and effective response for individuals and children affected by domestic and family violence.
